What’s the meaning of life without time?

You look at the wall clock, oh no, you only have an hour left to complete your reportYou keep on looking at your watch, ouch, you are late for your appointmentYou already watched all the movies in your phone but you still have 2 hours to wait at the airport because your flight was delayed!

Time is time. It will never wait for you. It will never go before you. You take a pause and you will see that it will still continue to tick.

I was busy working this afternoon and I felt like God was asking me, “I have seen how much You trusted me with your decisions in 2015 and now, I am giving you the power to choose for your 2016. Listen to your heart and tell Me, what do you really want to see?” As I searched my heart for the answer, it made me realize more how important our time is. How we value it. How we use it.

Can you imagine our lives without time? Yes, no rush. No cramming. No late. No early. Without catching a time, maybe we could wait some more. Without time, maybe we still have the luxury to play around.  Yet, without time, our lives would be in epic chaos. In every decision, there’s always and always the element of time to consider.

One thing I know for sure, time is a very powerful force to everyone’s life. It organizes our plan. It put things to order. It gives us the sense of urgency. It’s a strong compass in giving meaning to our journey. With 24 hours a day equally given to us, the essence of time will let us weigh what’s more important. People may say that there’s always tomorrow and it may be true technically in most cases, but to some cases it’s not. There are things that we can only do it NOW and if it’s gone, it’s gone. The Psalmist said, “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” Psalm 90:12.

As we celebrate the CHRISTmas season, I am leaving you these questions, with the next 365 days that will be given to you, how are you going to spend it? If God is giving you the power to write your 2016, how are you going to plot your timeline? Whatever your heart says, bear these on mind:

If you love life, don’t waste time, for time is what life made up of.”  – Bruce Lee

The only thing you can’t recycle is a wasted time.” – Anonymous
